Puppy Brain and all things puppy
First things first. Kerry is extremely knowledgeable in puppies. Yes she raises Goldens but this book is not about golden retriever puppies. This book is for everyone who is having a litter of puppies, getting a puppy or gifting this book. The information about having a litter and what to do from the moment they whelp to them leaving to their forever homes is for every single breed. I've personally have done what she has done week by week with my last litter, and the difference it makes is amazing with these puppies. Continue reading through the book and Kerry takes you through bringing your puppy home . How to prepare not only your home, your family and other pets but what and how to introduce your new addition to their new environment. Read this book through a couple of times. Think about what is written. This is not a one all approach and the only approach to raising puppies. The author does not suggest that she the "authority " on puppies. She simply tells how she has done and what has worked the best for her puppies in every way. She teaches how to think and see the world through their eyes. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is getting a new puppy, regardless of the breed. A puppy is a puppy and everything this author writes about can be applied to every puppy. If you are planning on breeding and want to have resilient puppies and want them to have the best start do the things in this book. IT WORKS. If you're getting a new fur baby, this book has a ton of great information to help you through the transitions. And just a side note, the pictures are amazing!!
