Raw food makes sense for people why not dogs?
Your dog like you can benefit from a natural diet. And what is a natural diet for dogs? Raw meaty bones! Most commercial pet foods are full of grains, empty carbohydrates and over-processed proteins and fats. As with humans, the diet of your dog is increasingly being recognized as the main culprit in disease including obesity, skin problems, cancer and autoimmune problems. Even a seemingly small problem like doggie breath is a red flag for more complex health issues such as gingivitis, heart disease and kidney disease. A natural diet based on raw meaty bones is the answer to prevent and even correct a number of these common canine health problems.
Dr. Tom Lonsdale graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London and practices in Sydney Australia. He was educated, like veterinarians world-wide, to believe that manufactured dog food is the best way to feed the family dog. He also believed that canine gum disease, bad breath and teeth cleaning under sedation were a normal part of any veterinary practice. Over time he came to realize that commercial pet food was the CAUSE of major health problems in our dogs and for the past 15 years he has been advocating a return to feeding dogs a diet of raw meat on the bone and selected table scraps. Find out just how simple it is to feed your dog what he really NEEDS and WANTS raw meat and raw bones. Experience a tremendous improvement in your dog's health, disposition and longevity by feeding her exactly what nature intends; what dogs in the wild eat raw meat and raw bones.

Make your dog Very, Very Happy!
Australian veterinarian Dr. Tom Lonsdale is traveling the world educating the public about how to improve the health of their dogs by feeding them a simple diet of raw meat and bones. He is on a mission to help people understand that the multi-billion dollar pet food industry has a financial interest in continuing to convince you that heavily processed kibble is superior to fresh, unprocessed food. In Raw Meaty Bones, Dr. Lonsdale also raises serious questions about the ecological impact of commercial pet food and the potential conflict of interest between the business of being a veterinarian and the good health of your pet.

It cleans their teeth, improves their breath but there are much more important reasons to give them to your dogs. A growing movement towards providing a natural diet for your canine friends has a champion for the cause in Tom Lonsdale. But some 15 years ago he paid attention to the red flags he saw in his veterinary practice concerning the incident rate of cancer, skin irritations, gum disease and more. His research led him to the conclusion that the commonly used highly processed dog food was the main culprit. Raw Meaty Bones: Promote Health
Are you a cat or dog lover? Do you constantly have to take your pets to the vet for checkups? If you are, then Raw Meaty Bones, written by Dr Tom Lonsdale, may just have the solution that you may be looking for. Dr Tom Lonsdale is a veterinarian who encounters countless problems with both cats and dogs, some treatable and some not, and has come to the conclusion that the pet food industry has been slacking on the nutrition of these animals and goes out to openly criticize them for their failings. The author's debate is that chewing on bones enhances the strength in these animals mouths and also reduces infection and gum disease, which is very common as most of these animals eat processed food, which often leads to plague. We learn that puppies and kittens often end up with gingivitis, and without proper gum massage, the disease persists, and due to this, many of them do not have a full set of teeth, and those that do may be subjected to a lifetime of pain. Tom uses rabbits as an example to better explain the difference between raw foods and cooked foods and the pros and cons that it has on these animals. If you are one of those that require guidance in how to care for your pets better, then this book is definitely for you. The book begins with a small introduction about the author and where he studied and thereafter moves onto the back and forth debate on pet nutrition in the pet food industry. The author speaks about the preservatives used in pet food and the chemicals that it contains. Lastly, Dr. Tom Lonsdale advises on foods to avoid and how to care for your pets in terms of buying and storing their meat. The book has been thoroughly researched, and the author uses both tables and illustrations in his book to support his theories. The author's emotions can be seen in the way that he disagrees with the food industry, which shows the love and care he has for these animals. There is nothing to dislike about the book. It was well edited, and I did not encounter any errors, which showed professionalism in the author's writing; hence, I rate it a 5 out of 5. The book is recommended to pet lovers, and personally, I feel that it is one that will help them in looking after their pets whilst at the same time reducing their stress and concern when it comes to their health.

Raw Meaty Bones: Promote Health
Raw Meaty Bones by Dr Tom Lonsdale cautions dog and cat owners about relying exclusively on processed pet food as the sole source of their pets’ diets. According to the author, a diet that only consists of processed pet food causes a myriad of diseases in dogs and cats. Oral disease, in particular, is a serious consequence owners do not realise, leading to bad breath, bleeding gums, and lifetime toothaches. Apart from the main argument, Raw Meaty Bones paints a narrative about a number of vets, concerned about animal welfare, informing the truth as they put their professional future on the line and risk retribution from the pet food industry. Raw Meaty Bones anticipates that many readers will have a hard time breaking the habit of buying processed pet food from a supermarket and feeding it to their dogs or cats. Simply being aware that the crunching of raw meaty bones is the healthier alternative does not automatically translate into action. I like how the author uses a couple of thoughtful strategies to tackle this hurdle. The first one is a table that outlines 19 potential objections to feeding pets raw meaty bones. By addressing them one by one, the author dispels common myths that have been perpetuated by pet food companies and their advocates, easing readers' fears of moving away from the familiar routine. The second one is an appendix that formulates a beginner-friendly diet guide for domestic dogs and cats. This guide serves as a practical resource for pet owners who may feel overwhelmed by the idea of helping their pets switch to a new diet. It simplifies the process by providing clear instructions on how to incorporate natural foods into their pets’ meals, making the transition less daunting. To sum up, I do not have anything negative to say about this book. Raw Meaty Bones is a valuable resource for regular people who own dogs and cats. Academics, biologists, vets, and journalists will also appreciate the body of scientific literature. Besides, there are no typos or grammatical mistakes, so the editing is great. Therefore, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Raw Meaty Bones: Promote Health
There's no joy as visible as a pet's love. It is the best fortune of all that there is, and being a pet parent, the book Raw Meaty Bones by Dr. Tom Lonsdale has even greater significance. Dogs do indeed communicate, their eyes are as expressive as any other being, but there is still the problem of us humans finding it difficult to understand things to provide them the best of the best. One of the most important part of raising a pet, caring for them like a human child is about the food that we give them. There was a time when a pet's food bowl contained an assortment of vegetables, and meat and bones, a wholesome diet indeed but then industrialization and commercialisation happened and we were told that the healthiest food that a dog should eat was in the form of small identical bits called 'kibble'. It is truly a pivotal moment that through the work and the research conducted by Dr. Tom Lonsdale and others, the processed pet food industry is being forced to face the music of their wrong ways. The title of the 'Raw Meaty Bones' in itself is indicative of how any pet's food should be. Being a work of non-fiction and real facts, the author heavily relies on observational research and medical attributes to point out the radical differences noticed in the health and overall well-being of pets post the arrival of processed pet food. The book is well-edited and backed up by personal experiences. I would rate this book a well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars as the book is a great resource for any pet parent, full of guidance and support in this profound journey of loving and caring for an animal. The author is also remarkably brave for taking on the multi-dollar pet food industry and advocating for a healthier lifestyle for our furry companions.
