Kristina has a knack for making scientific research both interesting and accessible. She has collated and analyzed the results of literally hundreds of research studies to get at the most crucial information for people working with dogs. While many of the concepts she discusses are complex, she makes everything understandable. She even goes out of her way to tell us when the science doesn’t give a simple answer (or even any answer, in some cases)! A true educator, Kristina also takes the time to remind us that science is always developing and changing, so it’s important to regularly re-evaluate everything we think we know.

The Stress Factor In Dogs
I purchased this book because I have a rescue from Puerto Rico who has stress issues. This book, although a little technical, provided a lot of insight into why she is like she is. It really helped me realize why she gets stressed so easily, and how to help relieve that anxiety as much as possible.

I'm not even done reading this book and I'm blown away at the amount of information I am learning!! I decided to purchase this book because I work in the veterinary field and felt it would increase my knowledge of the subject. I have not been disappointed! Fantastic author, 5 pages of references she used ! Just so much great stuff packed in a relatively short book and still VERY easy to understand for anyone!
