Clear, actionable advice and step-by-step checklists make this book incredibly helpful
I've raised a puppy before and wish I'd had this book back then! This book is concise and focused on practical, simple advice and exercises to help you bond with your puppy. It also has helpful checklists of activities to do together and ways to socialize your puppy in developmentally appropriate ways at different life stages. I also love how the authors distinguish in the book between training (teaching behaviors you want) and management (setting your pet up for success in their environment). Several lightbulbs went off while reading this book and I'm grateful to have this resource and will use it again with other dogs. I highly recommend getting yourself a copy, or anyone in your life who's raising a puppy whether or not it's their first time!
